: benoit p - a stranger

I have been following this photographer on Flickr for quite a while now. Being in Montreal at the moment, I actually feel I can understand, even sense these images better for having visited the city of their inspiration. There is just something in them so real and yet so sensitive to the people they portray. This is true even though they are actually "strangers" to the photographer. It is very beautiful work that makes me think of a modern day Rembrandt. An artist who uses portraiture, technique, and light to illuminate the subjects soul. Visit these on Flickr.
